Default BEWARE FIREPAY USERS

Last week, I cashed out 1000 from Bodog.com, subsequently, my firepay account was hacked into by an unknown agent and that $1000 dollars was transfered to someone's pokerroom account. The next day, my bank reported a $1500 deposit into my firepay account that I did not authorize. This money too was transfered into an unknown pokerroom.com account.

PLEASE be careful when using such online sites. Firepay claims no responsibility for this and I have had to establish a new bank account and redo all my online bill payments.

Apparently, this is the work of hackers who usually scout someone for months, making sure they can get in and out unnoticeably and then strike on weekends. I was stupid and did not delete my cookies on my computer which they were able to find and steal.

Again, please be careful.

Ps I can only assume that this is where the poster claiming to have made 200 into 13000 got his money from.

Sorry, that's just what the fraud guy at the bank told me. He said that these organizations apparently hacked into a major bank, stole 8million and then said we'll give you back 6million and keep 2 and tell you all the leaks in your system.

Didn't mean to sound racist, just reitterating what I was told.

If any of you ever read the story of the Online sports book that got hacked into, you would know that this was done by a bunch of russian college students.

Mentions of nationality =/= racism.

Use a program such as Password Safe to help keep your accounts more secure. Also NEVER save your passwords (in your browser or the poker client) for poker sites and/or any site where you have money tied up with. All of these will help make you much less of a target.

Moral of the story: Don't trust the goddamn Internet with your bank account information.
