River: ($12.05) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $3.75, Hero calls $3.75.

Final Pot: $19.55

My thoughts when he called the flop were that he had a jack. When he led the turn, I considered raising, but chickened out because I thought he'd probably just check-call if he hadn't filled up. My thought process was same for river. Did I miss too much value here by playing cautious? After the hand I realized that my hand has much more value than I thought because of my flop bet. My opponent probably expects me to check trips or a boat, so he assumes his hand is good. I didn't take this into consideration during the hand, but it seems like a valid reason to play this hand stronger.

Turn and river both look like blocking bets. You can mostly rule out J9, and J4 is an unlikely holding for a cold-caller in the SB, so I would go ahead and raise the turn. River can often be a raise as played, but you need some sort of READ.

Yeah, the lead of less than half the pot really doesn't look like a made boat to me. I'd jack it up here, although how much would definitely be read-dependent.
