Default Bet/call or Check/call?

8/16 game

I've been running bad and playing like a nit for about an hour. Villain is not insane.

8 or 9 handed

I raise 99 UTG, and get no respect for being nitty, so I get 2 cold calls and the BB.

4 way flop: 983 all spades
BB check, I bet, only MP coldcaller calls.

2way turn: 4 spade (4 flush)
My move?

grunch
bet/call turn and check/raise or check/call river (depending on having a fullhouse or not)

when we're ahead, villain is folding to a bet. but if we don't bet, he will probably check behind with 9 outs to a chop. this sucks for us.

when we're behind, villain is raising his good flushes and calling with his mediocre ones. he's never folding the turn (or river) having called the flop.

one way to look at it is that we're going to put 2 BB in no matter what if we don't improve (if we go c/c c/c or b/c c/f or b c/c). if this is true, then we're best off just betting now to prevent a free card.
