Default If it looks like spew, and smells like spew...

Is it necessarily spew?

Some history. Tag villain running at around 22/17. Villain and I had been 3 betting each other relentlessly and have already gotten it in pre with AK each. Because of that I highly doubt big pairs are in his range after he flat calls my 3 bet. The hand I most fear here is KQ and I guess some random flush draws which he obviously isn't folding, but what other hands are in his flat call preflop - reraise small post flop range?

fwiw flop bet is standard for me with pretty much my entire 3 betting range on this flop

Party Poker, $2/$4 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

UTG: $384
MP: $449.50
CO: $1,085.19
BTN: $1,031.47
Hero (SB): $435.50
BB: $409

Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG folds, MP raises to $16, 2 folds, Hero raises to $56, BB folds, MP calls $40

Flop: ($116) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $60, MP raises to $180, Hero raises to $379.50 and is All-In, $200 more to villian

I think this is spew. He's not raise/folding this flop...

Btw, who's villain?

On a dry flop, even with aces I don't feel like anything but a 1/2th pot bet is worth while because its either going to get raised or folded. I mean who cares about draws in a 3 bet pot. If they want to interpret my 1/2 pot bet as weakness I'll take it from there. I know this is somewhat unconventional but its how I play.

here i figured his range didn't warrant a raise so I pushed.

no, this is certainly not necessarily a spew.

however, there's a fairly large chance that it is, and that you're not thinking on a deep enough level about your dynamic with this opponent so as to make this not a spew.

I donīt know why big pairs wouldnīt be in his range. He could be definetly trapping you preflop with AA/KK. You have aggressive history so he may have took the flop with 88, TJs or w/e, and is no bluffing with them. I would like it more w/o the spade draw, but I guess this ainīt such bad with history, but probably still -EV. I think his range is [KK, KQ, 9īs, AA, flush draws, bluffs]Also could he think so deeb, that he is raise-calling with QQ?
