When you add them up, our usable body parts are worth about $220,000, which is a nice chunk of cash.
But before you go on a shopping spree figuring you’ll pay off the credit card bill by sending them your tibia—“Hey, I’ve got another”—you need to realize that it’s illegal to sell your body parts. It is, however, legal to buy them, but only if they were taken out in a sleazy hotel room and the donor woke up in a bathtub filled with ice.

A shocking survey has today revealed that 26% of students would be prepared to sell one of their kidneys on the black market for £13,000 and 21% would even be willing to have one of their toes cut off and sewn back on for a paltry £2,000.

The survey highlights the dire financial situation students are currently in, with 30% of the male students surveyed saying that they’re so short of cash they ’d be prepared to donate sperm 15 times a week if they could get £18 per usable
31% of female students said they’d be willing to sell some of their ovarian eggs for £5,000.
