Default NL50: AKo behind raise and 2 limpers

This hand came up on my recent session review, thanks to oakrdrzfan for the spade work there. Proper AK strategy is still a work in progress for me.

No reads on original raiser. Caller # 1 is 14/3. Caller # 2 is 25/10.

Call raise or fold? If raise, how much?

Hero raises to $10, planning to fold to a shove from UTG, and call a shove from the other two.

The question shouldn't be call or fold but raise or fold.
Calling makes no sense here as you don't want to play AKos in a multiway pot...
Personally, I raise here to say 9 bucks. Goal is to take it right down or get it HU and to take it down on the flop then.
Yet, it's also very important here how the other players see you in this hand, not only how you've seen them..

I will appear as about an 18/13 on this hand, pretty loose.

I did not see wallenborn's post where it says 10 bucks when I wrote mine. I said 9 because thats about pot size with a raise to 2 + three callers + the blinds...
10 is fine, too, of course, but it has to be a real raise as you def want to get this hand HU and destroy the odds for the original PF callers. Chances are very good at least one of them is set mining so you don't want them in the pot here.
I agree with the rest of what wallenborn wrote, though I am definetely not happy when one of the PF callers really shoves after my reraise..

I'm not doing a fist pump but I'm getting it in if a caller shoves.

Ok, the flop:

SB: $12.05

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG raises to $2, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, Hero raises to $7, 5 folds, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($23.75, 3 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP2 checks, Hero ?

I was planning on felting a raise from anyone except original raiser, folding if he made a move. I wanted to play HU against the loose player who I was fairly sure would call or raise.

My reason for the smallish 3bet was a combination of thinking (perhaps wrongly) that I wasn't offering sufficient implied odds to a set miner, and that the lower bet gave me a slightly better chance of getting away from this hand if it went ugly. Note also that the loose player is last to act which puts a squeeze on both the early players.

Anyone think this is wrong, please go ahead and rip me up, I did not do the numbers beforehand and I definitely need to get a better handle on 3bet sizing.

Anyhow, the flop came, we are now 3 handed, who likes a Cbet here and if so how much and what is our plan for the turn / flop raise?

[/ QUOTE ]I think this is something that all NL players should know when they first start seriously getting into the game. For instance you're offering 11.53:1 odds to UTG+1 on his call and going by the 10:1 rule he can easily call. I like to reraise a full stack to $7 if he open raises to $2 w/o any callers with any hand I reraise with. By doing this it's offering him 10.55:1 which is still giving him implied odds, but I do it with a wide enough range to not offer implied odds for a set because he's going to be folding the best hand a good deal of the time.
