POG Championship - mixed competition - 3 handed pick a number

This month's POG Championship will consist of 5 competitions - POG Auction, Sheep, Beauty Contest (closes to some fraction of average wins), in/out, and 3 handed pick-a-number.

In each competition the number of points you get is based on your place, see chart below. Winner is the person with the most points after all 5 competitions. There will be no caboose.

First competition is 3 handed pick a number. Signups accepted until Tuesday May 8th at midnight, at which point I will setup the bracket. To break the ties somewhat, it will be sort of double elimination. Losers play each other, but once you advance you don't drop further back, so if you get to the semifinal you are guaranteed at least 9th. Losers of the final will have a best of 5 RPS to determine who gets 2nd and who gets third.

I'll take suggestions and be somewhat flexible on the bracket setup up until the signup is closed and I've made the bracket.

It occurs to me that we should change the rules slightly from before.
Here's how we'll do it.

3 players. Each choose an integer between 1 and 10 (inclusive). If all choose the same it's a redo. If two choose the same, the guy who chose differently wins. If they all choose distinct numbers then the one who chooses the middle number wins.

Before you could choose any positive number. I think restricting the strategy space in this way makes the game more interesting. I'm also somewhat flexible on this so suggestions are ok.
