flopped TP facing bet from bully oop
Keep in mind i was in the SB. Blinds- 500/1K 100 ante. I have 16,500. Villain is CL with 62,000. Villain has been super-aggro and has shown down some weak hands. This would usually be an easy fold, but against lagtard am I good here? What's my move? Raise flop? FT of 4/180 on stars.

Re: flopped TP facing bet from bully oop
fold preflop
as played i'd call - if UTG comes over the top you can still fold, with BB and UTG fold you can get it in on the turn. |

Re: flopped TP facing bet from bully oop
yes - there has been some discussion about these SB-completing recently - maybe you can find it.
the point is, that you don't hit often enough a hand that makes it worth playing trash from the SB oop (2 pairs or higher - about 3%). while you can try it from time to time when you are very deep, you can use the chips at this stage better. |

Re: flopped TP facing bet from bully oop
yeah that's a good point. Sometimes I get so stuck on odds I'll call almost anything if the price is right... I think alot of people struggle with this temptation. I'll try to find the post, thanks lev.

[/ QUOTE ] calling with junk has a lot to do with relative stack sizes,..when things get shallow you need to get stingier with chips and not waste them on the slim hope that you may nail the flop...more often we get a dilemma like the original post |
