LA Times rips U-Haul a new one
3 part series on how effed up this company apparently is. You may have to register, but they won't spam you.
That trailer sway is scary stuff. As someone who's been through a blow-out rollover I never want to risk something like that again. Bottom line: make sure your trailer is much smaller than your car, and probably avoid U-haul altogether. "They set standards and guidelines that, in reality, they knew were not happening," he said. "All these trucks were breaking down the day after they were rented, and after they said maintenance had been performed." Anyone have any U-Haul horror stories? |
