Ok, this has to be mental, I am not sure.
A couple weeks ago I was putting the best I ever have in my life. All short putts were always in and every long putt was either in or a great putt that was close to being in. No 3 putts ever. Now fast forward to this week. I can't sink a putt. I am 3 putting often. I missed a one foot putt, no joke. Before when I would stand over a putt, it would be in in my head before I hit the putt. Now that feeling is not there. How do I go this feeling back and get some confidence back in my putting? |

How much time have you practiced your putting between your "good putting" session and the most recent one?
How often do you practice your putting regularly? How about as a % of your total practice? You are going to have great ball striking days that dont correlate with your ability, you will also have those bad days too, just because you putted great does not mean that is now your average. |

Something I always go back to when I'm struggling making putts is trying to make the putt go in the exact middle of the hole.
When you're trying to hit the exact center of the hole, your misses tend to still go in more often. TONS of putting tips, this is just one that may or may not help you. |

I had a little problem like this eariler in the season.
I discovered I had moved farther away from the ball in my setup. My eyes were inside the line and I was no longer swinging the putter freely. Setup to the ball with your putter, then take another ball and hold it directly below your eye. Drop it. It should land on the ball you are putting. If it lands inside the ball - try moving closer. It worked for me. Hope this makes sense. |
