Not worth the money, but if someone else is paying I see no downside.

I had some once, but don't know if it was the $1400 variety. Seemed very meh if you ask me.

a question to all the spirits connoisseurs that are able to refer to this stuff as "not too bad."

are you speaking in the realm of cognacs? like you'd prefer Courvoisier XO or something else to this? or is it possible that you just don't like cognac?

How good is it? Are u expecting the cognac to be mighty tasty. Maybe like a smoothy or something.

I'd rate it slightly above XO, but I was brought up on Courvoisier VSOP, and really liked XO from the start. It's definitely not 14x as good though.

Those 2 brands are the extent of my Cognac experience, so I'm not a connoisseur. I just happened to have tried it back in the .COM days, and figured that the list of people who have wasted money on it couldn't be all that long.

understood. I was just trying to understand if we had some sophisticated palates here that were able to identify this stuff as putrid grape juice. or if they just preferred one of the other special grades, or whatever you want to call them, of Hennessy or Remy or Courvoisier better.
