Running a home blackjack tournament
I know there are many, many sites about how to set up a poker tournament at home.
I was thinking of possibly introducing a blackjack tournament into the mix. Anyone do this or have suggestions for starting stacks and the rules, I think there are 21 hands dealt? thanks, |

Re: Running a home blackjack tournament
We just did a drunken donkament BJ tourney for my friends BD party.
6 players, starting stacks $1000, min bet $25, 25 hands, rotating button, winner takes all. We were playing just for fun, $5 buy-in. (yeah, I pwned it, I was the only one with any money management skilz who realized 2nd place paid the same as last) |

There can be as many hands dealt as you want, you can start with as many chips as you want, etc.

Re: Running a home blackjack tournament
Having played many blackjack tourneys, I would say that doing what TomTom suggests is the simplest way to go about it.
However, to have any semblance to strategy, you have to, at the least, have a maximum bet. I would recommend $500 with a $1,000 stack, but you might be able to get away with $1,000 max bet if people get upset with not being able to ALLLL-INNNN on the first hand. |
