is he ever gonna think we're doing that though?

if i think it through it might be logical for his opponent to fold some hands with the reasoning that any complete bluff would have bet the flop, but i just don't don't think you get respect a lot of times after checking that flop.

lol, you would be setting money on fire then. vs a typical reg 66 would be good here <10% of the time imo. usually, if he was going to bluff in this hand it would be the flop, OP's line has pot controlly flop/value town turn and river written all over it.

I fire this flop 99% of the time. He's not likely to have a 5 or 2 right? I'd probably just double barrell the flop and turn. If you sized your bets on the smaller side (given the dry board), you could probably fit 3 bullets in your gun (even in this reraised pot).

I think the river is fine. Given that your hand looks like JJ or whatever.

The problem with these lines and the reason why betting the flop is so much is better is the threat of a 3rd barrel will often get him to fold hands, that, when you use this line, will call off the river.

i usually cbet here too but i like to mix it up sometimes. my plan was to try to win a showdown unimproved but then i couldn't help taking a stab when the gutshot showed up.
