NL 25 - QQ pf in BB
Opponent was loose, PT shows him at: 54/14/.76. He often played short stack and twice I doubled him up after getting it in on flop or preflop with him always having an overpair (KK).
This situation comes up: Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter MP: $25 CO: $14.95 BTN: $34.85 SB: $25 Hero (BB): $27.30 UTG: $10.45 Pre-Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB) UTG raises to $1.25, 4 folds, Hero ??? I'm looking at stack and am debating a shove or a call. I'm not sure how to play this on the flop - what am I folding to if he shoves? How about if he checks? |

I would just shove, what are you gonna do, 3 bet to 4 and fold to a shove of 6 more?

Re: NL 25 - QQ pf in BB
raise the pot - so make it $3.75.
push any flop. Call if he shoves unless there is an ace AND a king on the flop (in which case fold) if you think he'll call if you push preflop then just push em in you are almost certainly ahead. |

yeah i guess i played it correctly - i shoved. he had KK and they held up. thing that sucks is i ran into his KK whenever I had a hand.

Re: NL 25 - QQ pf in BB
Be happy you're not doubling him up when he has a full stack. Shortstakers wreck the tables they sit at, but at least they can never put you to a tough decision, which is what you have vs 100BB stacks when you flop overs with QQ OOP and he has KK.
