Foxwoods Room Move
I saw in a post a while back that the moving dates for the room are March 16-17th. The Grand Opening of the WPT room is the 23rd. Will there be poker on March 18th and will it be with the new tables/waiting list? Or will it be the old crappy system except even more chaotic due to the move?
I'm organizing a trip out there on the 18th and it would pain me greatly if things are shut down for the move. Any responses or links to relevant info would be greatly appreciated.

The room opens the 18th is what I heard while I was there the other day. It will be closed the 16th and 17th.

I'm not sure when they close on Thursday the 16th or when the room officially opens on Saturday the 18th, but ... that's what I heard. I'll be there tomorrow and will inquire further. I'm definitely avoiding next Thursday and Friday though, just in case.

[/ QUOTE ] That's what I thought, but I was confused by the website which says the grand opening is the 23rd. I trust word of mouth from 2+2er's more than an official website so I'll plan on enjoying myself in the new room. I guess the 23rd will be when they do the whole WPT branding thing.

I was there on Tuesday of this week and they had signs around saying that the new room will open March 18 at 8AM.
I think it said it will close on March 16; however, I am positive that the sign said that the room will be closed March 17. It seems strange that they would not find a temporary locale for poker playing while they setup their new room. I know I am not a casino manager, but I think losing one or two days worth of revenue is not necessary....

I'm thinking the first week or so is going to suck ass, there are touch screens on every table and we have to keep track of seat changes, table changes, chip purchases, etc. =\
