Can I value bet this river (4NL)
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Ha...wojHwcXNwcY%3d
Horrid turn card, and he leads right out. I tanked it but decided to check behind instead of getting check raised all in. I know my line is bad here somewhere, but not sure where. P.S. Don't critique the min bet on the flop, I had a read that this guy would almost alwasy raise a min bet if he hit the flop at all, so I was trying to setup the check raise. |

VB river 100%. I bet 90c and call a shove.

Bet more on the flop. Small bets get you in to trouble on flushy boards when you give them odds to chase. They will call a big bets and therefore make a bigger mistakes = more value for you.
As played bet river. |

Should I also raise the turn here?

Re: Can I value bet this river (4NL)
Yes. Raising the turn is good. If he has a flush, he wins my stack. That's generally my policy when I have a set in HU raised pot, and would unquestionably be my policy in $4 NL.
