I bet pot on the flop. B/f turn. By checking you make this river decision hard because villain will most likely bet anything. I probably bet 20 on the turn and check the river although I don't think the Q helped villain.

I agree I bet the turn but river is a fold at this point for sure

edit: I think it makes a big difference that he is betting OOP on river. this is strong hand way more often than a bluff

I usually bet the turn. Turn is semi-scary but not that bad. Plus you're drawing to the 2nd nuts.

If it's a flush, it's a poorly played one as it should be betting the turn for value and CERTAINLY not on the river when the board pairs. If it's a set that filled up on the river, it should've raised the damn flop. The only hands that make sense here are QJ (which is a bad call preflop IMO) or QQ (which is horrible preflop).

I think the river's a call here. I think betting the turn is good too to get value from 1 spade hands that are still drawing.

yeah you make good points rapid.
I felt like he failed at c/r turn. I just couldn't think of something that missed except 57, which doesn't seem very likely. he could have some crap though and just decided to bet you off on the river. he couldn't have draw with Q that backed into trips.
I guess 1/3 of the time we could be ahead.


On a related note, you aren't really a 911 operator are you?
I was just talking to someone who is going to become one. Sounded like an interesting job.
