why do people think this is such an incredible lay down? seems kind of standard to me with a read... its a good lay down, but nothing to jump up and scream about.

That's BS. This is not "jump up and scream" laydown, but still very very tough laydown.

yeah. the old guy needs to bet that flop though. check behind, after a PF RR? Doesn't that pretty much scream that there aren't any cards in the deck that scare him?

what does PH beat, assuming this guy isnt a maniac? AQ has him beat, I'm sure the guy wasn't rring aj, he cant beat QQ, the guy isnt betting 10k with KK, AA is an obvious possiblity. its not like PH had a monster hand here.
