i think you can bet fold the river, also i dont even know if i like the call preflop, the guy limp rr which is AA-kk or AK so your way behind like all the time

as played the only hands he shoves on the river ar kk and jj so i can find a fold i believe

id prob fold PF ppl in lower stakes like 50nl and so on will do this PF play w/ medium pairs... but up here i fold this cause its 90% of the time AA, KK, or AK

Preflop is not good. I like the raise with 2 limpers in the pot, but when UTG comes over the top for that amount you have to put him on a monster hand. AQ is obviously no good, your friend needed to fold right here.

i agree with the bad PF play, he should just fold to the raise. but as the hand is played couldn't the guy have AA on the river? then when villian re-raises the river hero has to put in $100 more into a $300 pot so hes getting some good odds. am I wrong here?

The way the hand played out there is very little chance villain has AA. His range is almost exclusively KK.

Because of the way the hand played out, yes. Villain checked, checked and then shoved all in on the river. This would tell me he was slowplaying a monster hand. He also correctly assumed that you wouldn’t call with anything less than the nut flush (maybe even any flush) so he shoved. If you didn't have it, you fold, and he makes no more money with his hand. If you do have the flush, he stacks you.

It's worth noting though, IMO villain played this hand very, very badly and just got lucky that you rivered the nut flush.

Think about this, you have the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] AND the Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], with the K and J on the board. What hand can villain shove with??? It's either a boat or air (KK or JJ most likely), air is pretty unlikely since you woke up on the third spade. This is a boat like 90%+.

You can fold the river, it really is almost always a boat.
I hate the preflop call, you are always way behind and you don't even have position.

Click the do not include results box on the hand converter. You will get better advice from some of the people on when they don't know what the result is. See if people guess what the hand is without being told...

Villain gave away his strength when he checked the monster to you on the river and turn. What about that board screamed not to bet with any hand that 3bets the flop? If anything it's a perfect board to fire a CB bet at and villain just checked.
