wrong numbers
people call me all the time with the wrong number--i average about one call a day. but often its at a time that will wake me up, or when im driving in the car and i have to fuss to get my phone outta my pocket and then when i answer it, its some [censored] who just says, "o. i think i have the wrong number."
what the [censored] [censored]? do i have any legal recourse? it really isnt fair to me that i get woken up at 3 in the morning just because some idiot cant operate the phone. am i just totally screwed here? i demand restitution. should i just call the number back at some unholy hour of night and tell them to lick my ass? how does OOT deal with situations like this? |

Re: wrong numbers
No problem - I had to pick the phone up anyway.

Re: wrong numbers
dude quit bitching, turn your phone off at night if it's that big of a deal.
You can always change your phone number as well |

Re: wrong numbers
apparently whoever had this number before me spoke spanish and didn't inform anyone of his number change.
its been a year i still get the occasional call all in spanish, asking for someone. it probably takes up .00001% of my time, but then again they dont call at 3am. My old home phone number ended in 3644 and the local high school was 3664. We got a lot of calls to confirm excused absences, etc. Since the HS had students answering phones, I usually pretended to take the message, occasionally made up stuff about them not showing up that day or being suspended. |

Mitch: Sorry, your seatbelt seems to be broken. What do you recommend I do?
Cab Driver: I recommend you stop being such a [censored]. You're in the backseat. Please adapt this to your situation. |

Re: wrong numbers
Who the hell owns a phone anymore? lol.
We've got internet and cell phones. No ringing in the apartment = pure awesomeness. Seriously, having a home phone is so last century. |

Re: wrong numbers
My number used to be owned by a black woman who apparently got around quite a bit. I'd get calls almost daily for a couple weeks from a different guy each time saying, "Yo Rhonda be in?"
