Default Straddle questions

My bf & I disagreed on 3 betting ranges in this spot. Thoughts?

4 handed
UTG(Tagfish) straddles, both blinds are slightly too loose, and pretty passive. Which hands should we be 3 betting? Limping?

just treat it like a CO poster who autoraised and now you're on the button. in other words, basically tighten up your opening standards just a notch (like pretend you are in CO instead of button).

I used to go all out in straddle pots and I think that it became a big leak. Your 3bet range should be more dependent on the table dynamic, your position, etc. than anything. If you have 3 loose fish behind who will coldcall 3 liberally than you should tighten up since you will never isolate the straddler. If it is folded to you in lp I think you can open up significantly unless the blinds are loose.

I also think there is merit to coldcalling in certain spots. There is the b&m culture of "always 3betting the straddle." These spots are few and far between, but they are out there and again are dependent mostly on table dynamic.

running bad lately? Stop trying to pretend you aren't a degenerate 35/25 lag.

I think my problem is trying to fit that style into a 9 handed live game. I have give up 1 or the other. Online I can beat, but live has become comparable to a pit game leak.

I agree most of the time, but to say that this is true all of the time means that you are either spewing in certain spots from being too aggressive or missing value in others by folding +ev hands.

mitch I agree with you if this is a full table but OP is 4handed, I would never come in with a call here.

Of course. My point was more directed at fr. I shouldve prefaced that. I looked at the beginning and went into a diatribe about straddling. I cant concieve of a situation where ccing would be correct 4 handed.
