Default showdown tax him?

do i turn tp into a bluff here? sometimes get called by worse? villan is solid. a bit on the tighter side. runs like 17/14/5 over 500 hands. he probably views me as aggro and looser.

i think he is capable of calling a bit lighter, maybe like 99 after the turn due to my image. i recently got caught bluffing an Ace in a rr-ed pot in a blind battle and may have a looser/crazier image.

Value bet. 88-JJ is a very decent part of his range here. Meh at shoving and a big meh at c/f.

I like a bet of $100, he's not bluff-raising and might look you up light, even though a shove looks bluffy I doubt it gets a call by 99 as often as a $100 bet.

btw, isn't showdown taxing usually done in position and for occasional value against hands that are usually folding in situations where you're pretty much always ahead, not as a bluff?

I VB almost always here and expect to get looked up quite a bit. I like a shove if your image is more crazy aggro spew monkey but you're not quite there yet.

if he has 88-JJ then you should vbet the river, since he'll check those behind pretty often

you should bet imo

i make it $144 or $155

i don't think bluffing here is great, since the amount of hands you get to fold is thin if he views you as aggro on this board?
