Trapping a LAG
Villain is a LAG...not all that great but not all that bad. I'm waiting for a hand to let him bluff off his money. CO is a short stacked donk. Deep stacked short handed .25/.50 NL
Hero is button with T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero ($92.75) Villain ($97.50) CO ($5.45) SB posts $.25 BB posts $.50 UTG folds Villain raises to $2.50 CO raises (all in) to $5.45 Hero calls $5.45 SB folds BB folds Villain calls $2.95 Flop ($17.10) 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain bets $6 Hero calls $6 Turn ($29.10) A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain bets $15 Hero calls $15 River ($59.10) 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain checks Hero...??? Help on all streets please!! Was this a good line? I'm not a fan of getting aggressive with a LAG. I'd rather just have him bet my hand for me. |

Re: Trapping a LAG
I don't know if this guy was smart enough to realize but usually people don't bluff in to sidepots.
you should raise the flop to charge him for his overs. |

Re: Trapping a LAG
sure they do, with hands with reasonable showdown value.

Re: Trapping a LAG
I knew he was going to come out betting all streets. He has been betting hard most hands and has been pretty successful being our table is mostly weak. I figured I was good on the flop and I only had to survive two more streets. The reason I didn't raise on the turn was because I didn't want to cut him off right there...
You're probably right though...I should've just raised the flop. |

Re: Trapping a LAG
you're missing the point, he can't have any two random cards here.

Re: Trapping a LAG
So...granting that I smooth call the flop, how should I play the turn when the A comes?
