I don't like the call preflop. You will have the worst position postflop and you will have to play dangerous straight draws or second nut flush draws most of the time.
On the flop I can not see any value in betting. Although you have a wrap straight draw you have only 8 nut outs (3x 8, 2x 9, 3x A). Calling one bet on the flop is ok but folding is also ok, which means the call preflop was really bad. |

It all depends on how your opponents play. IMO this is a reasonable place to try a semi-bluff.

Matt you realize we are in the sb don't you? I probably c/c 1 bet here and fold to continued turn agression

Matt you realize we are in the sb don't you? [/ QUOTE ] I am aware of it. But the difficulties you will encounter postflop playing such a hand oop are big enough that I don't want to be involved in the first place, even in the small blind. Actually I guess one loses less money with that hand from the button than from the small blind. That doesn't mean you should play that hand from the button. |

Just curious, why are you playing a short stack?

I would always complete from the SB with this hand (no raise).
I would chk/call the flop, whilst the hand is a decent draw the flush possibilities make it a little perilous and you are in a bad position. |

Just curious, why are you playing a short stack? [/ QUOTE ] No special reason. I play a normal stack but I guess I just lost a pot and didn't rebuy quickly enough. Thanks for all the advice and regarding the PF limping you have to realize that the blind structure is 15/25 instead of 10/25 so I complete many hands with these kinda blinds and pot-odds. |
