I fold preflop vs an unknown for the reason that I hate getting into this spot here postflop where you have no idea where you're at.

Anything but a fold here is bad. You sure can't call and face another tough decision on the next street with still no idea, and a raise serves only the following purpose: To throw in a bunch of your money on a total guess (having absolutely no idea what to do). You don't know where you're at at all here; just move on to the next hand.
As is, I'd guess that AK is very possible here, but unlikely. |
