Default awkward spot with a good draw

bay 101 100/200 10 handed

emp limps, co limps, btn raises, i call in bb with Tc9c.

btn is extremely spewy preflop and not too lag postflop especially in multiway pots. His range here is extremely wide, probably the top 30% hands. I think he'd raise 65s or J9o here for example.

emp is a pretty good, aggressive tricky player postflop. He's loose pf, his limping range is lots of suited hands and pairs. I've seen him do a lot of free showdowning on the turn, and a lot of turn checkraising.

Flop is QJ7 with 1 club. Checked to btn who bets, i call, emp calls, co calls.

Turn is Qc. I bet (?) emp raises, everyone folds to me, I call (?).

Riv is offsuit 9. Check call? Check fold? Bet?

Mostly what I'm interested in is how I should play the flop and turn.

your turn bet smells like total BS to me. i'd just check/call. i think the river is a fold, as my guess is EMp has JT-J9 and is freeSDing.

I would have check raised the flop with the button's range being so wide, but after you lead the turn and get raised I think the river is a no brainer fold.

I think that turn bet would've only worked had you c/r the flop; turn card was perfect. That said, I actually prefer your flop play, and the turn bet makes me nauseous (no offense). River seems like c/f against this opponent...

You mentioned one club on flop - was it 7c? This seems like easy river c/c to A7c...

it feels right if you check call turn and just give up on the river imo

I think you should at least consider 3-betting the turn.

I was going to say this. I don't like the initial bet but after you do I like a 3 bet. As played check/fold given your read that he free showdown raises a lot.

Good superhuman lhe donk thinking there Chris... I actually totally agree, and great thinking at that level. Only consideration is that we think the opponent will notice if an elephant walked across the table much less even if we are seen as a TAG.

Regardless, this hand just shouldn't be played in any other way live unless we really know our opps than check-call, check-call, check-fold.
