Default 2-7 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Razz

So I suck and started a Razz session at 2am this morning. I really hate poker these days, and what better than to punish myself even more with the most godforsaken form of poker ever invented? After a couple of hours of self-castigation I manage to lose $400. I couldn't care less about the $400, but the manner in which I had just wasted two and a half hours of my life was enough to tilt even a hardened vet. Doyle Brunson is close to his death, but this session would have toppled him over.

Solution: the most degen form of poker in existence. 2-7 TD. 50 bet swings are totally standard in this game. That means if I play 10/20 I only have to win a couple of pots to be back to even, obviously.

Cliff's notes of the hands:

15 hands, +$400. I hit-n-run and I'm instantly cured of tilt.

Significant pots below for those who understand 2-7.

I would think this is an easy raise even with villain standing pat.

Edit, after looking through all the hands (and given my admittedly low knowledge of 2-7), I think you missed a lot of value on last two streets against such an aggro villain.

2-7 seems like a cool game. handling the variance at LHE causes me enough stress though

nice rush OP

Meh, readless I don't think 87432 is worth a raise. Lots of 2-7 players will check-call their 876x hands, leaving only 875x to get value from. Obviously if it had been later in the "match" I would've put in a raise.

I don't see any other spot to put in a bet, except maybe the 98752 vs. T9862? Remember that I want him to pat a worse hand into the last draw, hence no 3bet - I don't want to give him a chance to break a T or J. I guess I could've bet the river with the way he'd been betting, though.
