2-40 Spread Game Weak Play?
Blinds are 1 and 2 with the stakes being 2-40 spread limit 9 handed game. Initial raiser ($300 stack) is UTG +1 and makes it $6 to go, but he has been raising many marginal hands trying to build pots (J8s, AXs, etc...). Seems to play pretty solid post flop and comes off as a good player. 1 caller in front of me, I am in cutoff with KJ spades ($250 stack), I call.
Button calls, everyone else folds, 4 to the flop (~$25 in pot). Kc-6d-7d, raiser checks, other guy checks, I lead for $12. Button folds, original raiser calls, other guy folds. Turn (~$50 in pot): Kc-6d-7d-5h. Raiser checks, I? I was actually scared by the turn, thinking he may be slow playing 89 or a set. But, at the same time, I don't want to give the flush draw a free one if he has diamonds. I actually bet $16, he calls. River(~$80 in pot): Kc-6d-7d-5h-Qd. He leads for $36, I? Seems like a fold, but he played the hand in a weird manner since he didn't bet the flop if he was on a draw, also, seems somewhat of an overbet, since $40 is max... |

Re: 2-40 Spread Game Weak Play?
I'd like to say outright that I dispise spread limit. I would only buyin to this game for like $20 and donk it up!
folding seems appropriate. |

Re: 2-40 Spread Game Weak Play?
if pfr-er has a speculative hand and you have high card value (KJ) and a caller inbetween... i think you should def. squeeze to $30 or $35 or something

bet more on flop, this is spread limit and you NEED to try and get money in when you can since stacking him isnt really possible in most instances
