Is this +EV. For example. If the line is +/-6.5 at SIA and +/- 5.5 at Pinnacle. I could buy to +7.5 at SIA and sell to -4.5 at pinnacle and create a 3 point middle. Is this +EV though buying and selling points are -EV?
(This is assuming I could use Pinnacle, which I cant.) |

By the way. There is a middle for Murray St. and Tenn Tech game tonight. 5.5 at the greek and 6.5 at SIA if anyone cares.

It depends on the sport and how many cents you are paying for the side/middle.
For example, each 1/2 point on NBA totals is worth about 5 cents. So, betting o194.5 -110 and u195.5 +100 would be neutral EV (spending 10 cents for a full point). However, taking on risk for no EV is pointless, so in reality you only want to spend maybe 2.5-3 cents for each 1/2 point. |

What the book is offering is the lowest vig. Buying and selling points is -EV from there, so how is doing anything but betting both lines as-is +EV?

[/ QUOTE ] I have no idea if this is addressed to me, but I didn't comment on buying/selling points, just on how to tell if a side/middle is +ev. Buying and selling points reduces ev, yes. |

If that was directed to me. That was the question that I was asking.
