I'm just curious how many of the friendly posters on this board actually work and pay taxes. Given the number of admitted socialists lately, I also wonder how many of you think that the taxes you pay are too low, too high or just right. Oh yeah, put your age down too-- I hugged a couple trees 20 years ago at Cal so I know how that works...

Nobody thinks their own taxes are too low. Everyone is free to pay as much extra as they wish. Anyone who favors higher taxes--or opposes tax cuts--necessarily believes that only other people's taxes are too low.

Edit: And oh yeah, 28, employed, pay taxes on work and gambling, and taxes are an illegitimate source of government funding, and we are therefore all paying too much.

problem isn't how much I pay in taxes - it's how much is funneled into the pockets of cronies of this Administration in the worst case of war-profiteering I've seen in my lifetime -

we could fix New Orleans to withstand a 10000 yr surge with the money we dump into Iraq every MONTH -

taxes don't need to be higher or lower - (we should allow the tax cuts passed 6 yrs ago to expire - they only benefit the richest and already well padded/protected top 2%tile)

but more importantly - we should just stop our tax money on guns and friends of Republicans and use it to help America. Enough of the friends of Cheney misappropriating billions of dollars and shafting the taxpayer cause they're hunting buddies with the guys who write the kickback checks.
