Someone with those stats and being otherwise unknown, I don't raise the turn and just call. I bet the river if checked to, but otherwise just call a river bet.

If the pot were larger (> ~8 or 9 BB) and if there were people to act behind me (n > ~ 2), I raise this donk every time to protect my vulnerable hand.
But again, HU in a fairly small pot, I don't raise.

BTW, nice title.

Thanks Christian I raised, cuz sometimes people make retarted donks with scary boards, or when an undercard hits the turn and they have top pair. On friday, some one donked me 3 times all the way to the river with pretty much air, although he had decent stats. I´ll post the results later in case someone is interested to know what happend.

As passive as this guy is, that donk bet is almost always trouble. I'm going to go on a limb just for fun and say the guy has 88 for the turned set. He clammed up on the river because the flush came and the straight was already available to you on the turn. Passive are sometimes quick to shut down after aggression also because they always play in fear.

Hope to see the result later. My other guess would be the other sets, but I'm sticking with 88 for now.

Villain means it when he bets. His turn bet could mean he made a straight or maybe that he slowplayed a set or two pair. So best case scenario, you've got eight outs (2 As and 6 cards to pair either of the two cards he doesn't have). That's enough to call the turn but since we're probably behind and he's not folding, I don't think a raise is good. I wouldn't bet the river-- just because he's (irrationally) afraid of a flush doesn't mean he can't beat top pair.

It's tough when a villain this passive donks into me here, but I still probably call down either hoping to counterfeit a two pair hand or that he decided to bet out with only a pair and maybe a draw (something like JT I guess). I'm still not betting the river when he checks, I don't think we're ahead often enough.

Default Results!

Okay, here are the results, since i´m going to bed and won´t be here tomorrow:

Hero wins.
Villain shows J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I was pretty wtf when i saw the results :/
Later on villain raised a paired board on the river HU with just air. He´s definately in my note book. But i learnt a valuable lesson today. The stats just aren´t enough.

And everybody just seemed to take shots on me by donking and raising with air. Dunno what that was all about. Maybe it was my picture on pokerstars or something...

*grunch*

Donk + 3 Bet = QJ or 67 IMO. Calling then checking behind is ok as played.

Someone mentioned not raising because of how small the pot is. Considering this guys stats I think the Turn raise is good because on occasion someone will be firing with A8 or two pair here and that gives hero a ton of river outs.

The 3-bet is not what he wants to see but I think you have to keep the pressure on here unless you have a very good idea of villain's PF range (e.g. "this Turn donk is 90% likely to be a straight because he calls all raises with SCs")

To bad the results are already posted; but even before seeing them I wanted to state the following: Donk bets don't mean strength, even from passive players! A raise means trouble, A C/R means even more trouble, but a donkbet can be anything.
