Default So Has anyone noticed any difference

since the online ban? Are the B&M's noticably busier? Proportionately fishier/tighter?

Nope. Same ol' stuff. I can say there is absolutely no type of change which can be attributed to online ban. I think it would take a long time to determine if the games actually got "fishier/tighter" as a result of the ban, rather than just because of variance.

I agree. Actually asked a dealer yesterday who told me he had not seen any change.

I haven't seen a change, but that makes sense to me.

Online poker was a time killer that happened to make (or lose) money. Casino poker is a totally seperate thing, that you can't do just because you have an hour to kill.

I think and have stated many times that there is really little correlation between online and live poker. Many live players are afraid that online poker is rigged. Many online players get bored with live poker. As tournament poker is a different game than ring games, so is the difference between online and live.

I think there will be impacts, but they will come slowly and in ways that aren't going to be easily apparent.

So far, not so much.

A necessary but not sufficient condition for the ban (sic) to have a measurable effect on the live population: PokerStars and Full Tilt must stop serving U.S. customers (in a way that cannot be trivially circumvented). The new law has significantly affected the demographics at those two sites.

Yes at WinStar, more players are arriving dressed only in in their underwear and are making clicking noises.
