Default beat: changed the date setting on my computer.

Yesterday I Accidentally pushed the date forward on my computer calendar. For the last hours nothing has been working and I wasn't able to figure out why.

Couldn't log into 2+2.
Couldn't log into gmail.
Couldn't connect pokerstars.
Couldn't connect to cardrunners videos.

I spent hours on end reinstalling drivers and doing virus checks before I figured it out.

In conclusion.... yeah it was kinda lame.

Why would computer date affect any of those?

The CR videos because the license is valid only until a certain date. Don't know about the rest.

It wouldn't affect the rest. Also the CR videos shouldn't go off of your computer, most of the time they connect to a server..otherwise you could keep resetting clock after your license "ran out".

What the hell did you set it to, the year 3016 or something stupid?? Maybe your computer was acting all jacked up because it figured the Apes had finally taken over the planet.
