When you're playing poker, and someone beats you then turns over their cards to show you the bluff... that's a horrible person. They'll always be a horrible person. I don't care what it's intended to do, the person that does it is someone you should avoid in future. They're horrible people that just want to rub things in your face. They have something to prove. That's my take on people that turn their cards over to show their bluff. It's inexcusable behavior.

I'd say they can be very helpful: as get successfully bluffed frequently is something you rarely get positive feedback on, due to never seeing the other player's hole cards. Now you have.

Yes, it's good to see their cards. I'm talking about the people that show it.

Who the hell cares what kind of person he is. You should be glad he's showing you exactly what his betting patterns mean.

I show bluffs all the time, good for image purposes. I guess that makes me a horrible person.

[/ QUOTE ] I almost never show my cards unless the rules say I have to, mainly because I think it messes with opponents heads more to keep them in the dark. But since my goal is to put psychological pressure on my opponent, I guess that makes me a bad person, too. But Bernie was right. If OP gets that upset about it, he should go play hopscotch. |
