Default Fun Slowplaying

So, I hate slowplaying sets. I hate it. But this seemed like as good a time as any.

Bellagio 30-60. Hijack is loosey goosey before the flop and very straightforward and capable of folding after the flop. BB I don't know very well, but seems like the passive type.

Preflop:
The Dude opens 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in EMP. Hijack calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6.67 SBs) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, The Dude bets, Hijack raises, SB check-3bets. The Dude ponders for a moment and calls. Hijack calls.

Turn: (7.8 BBs) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB bets, The Dude calls, Hijack calls.

River: (10.8 BBs) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB bets, The Dude raises, Hijack folds. SB tanks, says "Do you have 97? A set of aces?" then ends up raising after about 20 seconds. The Dude 4-bets.

I can't put SB on anything other than KK or 33. (97 is unlikely after the pause. KT is possible but most people wouuld not 3-bet the river with it)
I really dislike the 4-bet.

no strong opinion about the slowplay. I'm sure it's fine every once in a while.

someone who isnt going to slowplay KK on this flop, IMO, most likely isn't slowplaying KK preflop either. i don't think we can even consider 97 whether he paused or not on the river, as check 3-betting the flop with 97 would be beyond maniacal. river is an easy 4-bet

what do you think his range is after pausing and 3-betting the river?

2 corrections in the OP - "set of Aces" should be set of Kings, also the hand switches mid-way between SB and BB. Not a big deal because it doesn't effect the results.

Since the two likely hands the villain will have are KK or 33, as well as AA or AK played like a retard, I like a 4 bet assuming you think he will call with 33 and he will probably fold anything less like AK, KT, etc; I'd hate to call a 5-bet to find out we were wrong about KK. Luckily most guys who slowplay KK per-flop will wait till a later street to go wild so I think your a clear favorite.

Slowplay: A+++

I think most mid-stakes players under the age of 80 would 3-bet the river with KT on a K 8 3 T 6 flushless board.

your set of Aces is bigger than his set, thank him for turning his hand over as you proceed to 4-bet him. Make a mental note of how he thinks you play big pairs, he was trying to insult you but you just had the last laugh because he is going to call your 4-bet 9x out of 10.

SB is loose PF and probably dumb as hell, a C-3b line doesn't make much sense with an OMG SET. Not nearly as much as something like K3s, KT, K8s, or 83s.

I'd just BANG BANG the turn and not wait for anything that could either hurt my hand or hurt my action to come on the river.

River is okay.

the verbal tell makes me wanna flatcall, but the betting action makes me wanna 4 bet.
