Default Why are Limit HE Tourneys Dead?

Limit HE is a great format for tournaments.

It is a nice change of pace to nl tourneys. There is a lot of strategy as the game shifts into an almost pot limit holdem game as stacks dwindle. Skill edge is huge for a good limit tournament player.

The tourneys on Stars are absolutely dead. The 215 on Sunday barely gets any runners, way down from a year or so ago.

Even the 33s and the 22s get no entrants. I find it hard to believe there cannot be a $55 or $109 nightly that gets 100+ entrants.

I know the easy answer is going to be limit is dying; this is part of the reason, but there is something else I cannot put my finger on.

I think part of it has to do with the site's focus, it seemed on Party they would run many more limit tourneys with more runners.

/insert I bet I raise monkeys now if you wish.

For my next post: why aren't there bigger pot limit HE tourneys on stars.

For PLHE its:
1) Not the Cadillac of poker despite being the same game
2) No antes
3) Not the Cadillac of poker

Some people, even pros, won't touch no limit.

in about five years i can see the limit tourneys at wsop being way soft, since most people would no longer practice them even a little bit online

To late, the $3000 limit event last year was a total joke.
