Anyone been to Bulgaria?

I'm going to this place in Bulgaria properly named "Sunny Beach". I've heard there is a beach there. And bars. Could be fun. Anyone been there or anywhere else in that country? Anything I should know? What bars are good, how do I not get hustled by street sellers, taxi drivers, strippers and such...

Haven't been there, but Sunny Beach is pretty much a tourist trap for mindless troglodyte mongrelmen who want to party and [censored]. Enjoy.

Friend of mine went- said its pretty much super rural or stag night capital depending on where you are- nowhere in between.

This is true, but the night life is excellent if you're under 25. Lots of girls. If you're into it its kind of easy to access drugs. I saw at least five strip clubs.
Also everything in Bulgaria is crazy cheap. A beer would equal about 2 dollars.

Also there is a few casinos, one of which holds NLH 5-10 when there's enough interest.

Expect a lot of scandinavians, particulary around Laz Palmas and LaZur. LaZur is a great club btw.

Don't go alone at night. Stay in the light. Stay away from the beach at night.
Expect no one to talk good english. Go to nessebar, 5 km from sunny beach if you want to eat good.

Oh and eat the chicken kebab close to Laz Palmas. It's addictive

Pay everything cash. With the cab drivers, agree on payment before the ride.

edit: Never mind... Didn't see the "beer $2" :P I'll be fine then I guess. Don't know what I expected though - beer is cheap everywhere in the world compared to Norway...
