Default Average pot sizes at PokerChamps

I've been considering playing at PokerChamps and have taken a look at the lobby.

The average pot sizes seem huge, when I last looked for $5-10NL ($1k buyin) they were ranging from $300-$1000.

This looked a bit too good to be true so I sat and watched a game, and whilst the action looked good, the pot sizes didn't seem to reflect the averages reported in the lobby.

Is something amiss here? Are these averages being kept high to attract action? How many hands are usually used for lobby averages?

In general, high pot average in NL indicates multiple instances of most likely two people getting it all in HU.

They seem much less reliable for NL than limit. You could have a few cooler hands like KK v. AA or set over set in a short span that will make the pots look huge, but it could still be a rockish table despite that.
