Default 5NL - 2 pair, I think I over played this...

Villain is fairly new and has managed to get a big stack very quickly.

I think that I played this hand wrong - as soon as the flop betting started, I had this little voice in my head screaming set, but I just could not seem to be able to put down 2 pair against such a large stack... I know that the river bet was a terrible mistake (I should have just checked) but what about the flop/river?

Thanks

Guy

standard...you are only afraid of AK here...probably a fold preflop because you are playing a dominated hand, unless you are really comfortable playing postflop. but as played this is fine.

You're ahead of AQ, AT, and KJ and there are no reasonable draws...I'd be VERY suspicious of his turn donk but would raise it the same. After he flat calls the turn raise I'm calling a reasonable river bet but I think I'd be content to check behind here since you've been so aggro so far in the hand, his line is sick strong.

As played, flop and turn are good.
The min bet is very fishy, I hope you took a lot of notes after this hand.

I'm torn between betting river and checking behind. You're ahead of a lot here (AQ, KJ). AK and sets are the biggest worry. No real draws out. I probably check behind and see AQ or AK most of the time.
