Default Party got a little fishier, I redeposited

I will be playing $.50/$1 and maybe $1/$2 from time to time. If you see me do something really stupid, post it here or send me a PM.

I have a fundamental flaw in my Omaha/8 game and I am looking for it.

Party .50/1 just isn't that easy during a bonus period. My advice is to play more when you're hitting your draws and play less when you're not.

well, I got $50 in free money from them, haven't played in a long time. I don't consider myself a big time o8 player, but have taken up the game lately, and I cleared my bonus and made 1.8BB/hr two tabling the .50/1 just pretty much playing tight and nut peddling. I've been testing PT omaha (demo thru 1000 hands, I have the hold 'em version) along with PA HuD display. At one point, I noted with laughter that there was a guy I had 65 hands history with a his % hand where he voluntarily put money in the pot was like 70%(!)

Of course, there are guys playing every week like this at 5/10 hilo at my local casino!

Yeah, wait until you see the guy you have 500 hands on and he's at 85% and making more money than you. O8 can be a cruel game.

On a side note, I've stopped using the HUD in my last couple of sessions and I've done better. A lot of that is probably due to variance but I think I may have been getting overloaded a little bit and not feeling the flow of the games.

wow.. do you think someone can see 85% of hands and still be making money at this game? I know a lot of people subscribe to this theory. Particularly at my live 5/10 game, they do. They think it is idiotic to raise preflop, instead they see the flop and fold much of the time after the turn, it seems like.

also, regarding HUD, I've used it a lot at 1,2 and 3 table NLHE sit and gos and have learned to pretty much tune it out except when I actually need it. Customize your layout, so the color coding means something to you and only put the stats on screen you actually USE. You can always look at the full stats by clicking on the persons name. For NL sng's, I just wanted to know how tight/aggro a person was when I got involved in a hand, so I just put VPIP and aggro factor and I always want the # of hands this data is based on.

For Limit o8, I was just looking at VPIP pretty much.

Anway, my point is, get rid of stats you don't use.

halifax h party hands 67 vpip only 97.01 Obviously i wish to emulate his wonderful play, as he is a winner to the tune of 39.97BB/100hands

newtysrx hands 216. vpip is only 94.44. He is a loser to the tune of 45.91BB/100hands

Combining these two vital statistics shows that if you play the worst two and a half percent of o8 hands, you can win another 85BB/100hands

I have only played 5000hands, but am thinking of trying my luck at playing 97.01 percent of my hands at the 30/60 table. Anyone disagree?

Yes, I can only afford 10/20 and 15/30 right now, so please go there instead.

Or the guy where the 70% is his PFR, not VP$P.
