is this a bet or check behind on the turn
10/20/40 NL
Villain got stacked earlier by me, he reloaded and has been winning since. He's been gambling it up and was definitely a loose player. He was calling down light in the session. Hero has been playing LAG. Villain has 8K, Hero covers 1 limper, Hero in LP Jc10c calls, BB calls, villain in straddle makes it 240, limper calls, hero calls, fold Flop: Jh10d5s villain bets 500, limper folds, hero makes it 1600, villain calls Turn: Kd villain checks, hero... thoughts on all streets appreciated |

Re: is this a bet or check behind on the turn
I think that a 2/3 pot sized bet for value is best.... villain was most likely just trying 2 pick it up. If you want to get trick you can check behind on turn and let him bluff at a river, but it may get a lil tricky

Re: is this a bet or check behind on the turn
bet for value, lots of his range has to call you on that turn and most of it is drawing quite live. if he c/r's i dont like it much, but i think you gotta stack off.

Re: is this a bet or check behind on the turn
well i bet 2200 on the turn and he pushed, is this a call? I guess the best i could hope for would be AK, AA, or KQ. Do you ever peel the flop with AQ?

Re: is this a bet or check behind on the turn
you're ahead of most of his range, which generally suggests betting the turn. if he pushes, you have to make a decision based on your read - though i can't imagine that villain thinks he has enough fold equity to check raise semi-bluff, especially given the stack sizes.
however, for you at the table checking is not terrible since it's a bigger sin to practically commit yourself without a sense of where you are in the hand. |
