Default 10/20 Semi deep: River flush vs a v. good LAG

Villian is like 30/16 and very laggy yet very good. At the time I was convinced BldSwtTrs has changed his sn to this guy. He's pushing everyone around the table successfully.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $20 BB (6 handed) converter

Hero ($3898.20)
Button ($2272.55)
SB ($2170)
BB ($4079.03)
UTG ($3143.44)
MP ($1055.95)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises to $75, 2 folds, BB calls $55.

Flop: ($160) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($160) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $145, Hero calls $145.

River: ($450) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $400,

His river bet seems a little big for blocking purposes. If you raise small, I think it's too easy to read you for a flush (unless he has the As, in which case he might have you outflushed). And I don't like raising big; for all you know he could have flopped the nuts. And I definitely don't like folding, as he'd almost certainly value bet a king on the river.

That leaves calling, which I see as your only real option.

Fold this straight and flush draw vs a lag? I'm not disagreeing just debating. Against a solid, sure I can see it. I'm interested in what the rest say about my turn call as well. I've thought that this may be a spot where I'm sprewing money.

couple of things to think about.
calling a near pot sized bet
implied odds not being as good as you think it would be
hitting your hand and still losing

I normally bet the flop here, it's not like you mind a checkraise on the flop / you can fold alot of hands which are winning, which if you check may win the pot checked down...

and, even hitting a good card, (ie the spade) calling a near ~psb still isn't warm. (though I would call too, drawing on a paired board = )
