planning to fold to a shove?

Flop is value call/float. turn Is a clear call IMO. thoughts on river plan?

The villain here is 16/9/5 with a very high river agg of 14 over 2k hands which made me think I might have to call a shove?

Not particularly keen on a flop float vs. such a nit, but w/e if you have a feel for him then its fine. He might be aggressive on the river, but I still don't think he is going to value shove less than AK over your raise unless he is really stupid. Raise/fold looks fine.

Thing is, he will put you on a boat before he puts you on an ace when we get to the river like this. Thats why I like a bet/ fold.

i don't think he calls without having you beat very often. i'd just call river. i hate calling a push b/c i doubt he's 3betting a worse A and this looks like an odd time to 3bet bluff.

You do realize villian only bet 1/3 pot on the river right? I think not raising here is bad, and he may decide that he induced a bluff from a missed draw or something and look you up light.
