Default push with 77 from BB

This okay? I had been in push/fold mode for the last 2 or 3 levels at this point. The EP player always min-raised or made raises slightly less than 3BBs whether on a steal or something like KQ+ from that position so I'm looking to double up here:

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t200/t400
(Ante: t50)
8 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t3790
UTG+1: t8455
MP1: t3815
MP2: t7205
CO: t9780
Button: t15830
SB: t6870
Hero: t3905

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to t1000, 5 folds, Hero raises all-in t3855, UTG+1 calls t2855 (pot was t5055).

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t8310, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t8310)

Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t8310, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t8310)

River: J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t8310, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t8310)

Results:
Final pot: t8310

Do you think this would be a better move than trying to use some of my fold equity ?
I have a feeling that pushing all-in on the flop might also look like a blatant steal attempt so villain might call with overcards anyway, which is the same as seeing all 5 cards in the first place ?

Okay...why no FE
I must have some. I have roughly half of villains stack and for him to call an all-in he must have something vaguely decent? or is it because of the raise ?

He's raising from early position, so it is highly probable he has some sort of a hand. With your push he is getting about 1.8-1 to call, which he should call if he has ANY reasonable holding. However, on the flop you can fold out all sorts of hands with a SNG.

If you intend on committing all your chips i think stopngo is superior play.

You have much higher fold equity since pushing pre flop as beast says he has 1.8 to 1 on his call, meaning he calls an awful lot of hands correctly.

Say you call isntead theres now 2200 in the pot. When you push the flop (assuming u don't hit 7 which u clearly check) you make him call a pot sized bet with 2 cards to come. Also you cut the cards hes going to see from 5 down to 3, improving your odds drastically if coin flipping.

Makes sense.
Out of interest, I assume you do this whatever the flop? Even if an Ace comes? With a raise from UTG, I've gotta see him having some sort of Ace.

You do this especially if an Ace comes! If the flop comes Ace high, it will be hard for him to call off a decent portion of his stack with anything less than Aces. And yes, you should be doing this nearly every flop. Some flops I wouldn't push would be a set or maybe a KQJ flop.
