Player seemed a little LAG. Called 3rd, did not want to escalate the pot with the 8 showing.

5th bet is automatic, right? I have not seen any 3s, it may have paired him.

What about the 6th street call? Bad due to small pot? Especially since the 3 must not have paired him. Think I answered my own question here, but I'll still post....

6th st. seems very close and has a lot to do with the opponent. You might only be drawing to 2 3's and 2' 4's which makes us around a 5:1 dog getting 5:1 on our money. You said he was a LAG though so I guess a case could be made for paying it off...

Your feel for the player should determine your play from 6th St on. If you really feel he is a LAG and he has not raised once in the hand he may have started with a worse hand than you and he is going to bet as soon as his board is stronger than yours (6th) even if he paired the 3 or ace. In this case you call him down. If you think he started with a decent 7 low ( there are two 8s and two 6s showing on the deal so a 75 low is very possible) you should bail on 6th street. Its odd for a LAG to play this hand so passively though.

This could be a very close hand...Im thinking your beat...He wouldnt have stayed in with that 9 if he didnt ahev cards like 24 or 23 to go along with it...once that A hit on 6th street and he started betting I wouldve still called probably, but I dont think I wouldve been to confidnet in my hand. Since you said hes LAG its very possible he dosnt have anything, but you got to be careful because a 7 high is very possible from him.
