AA in BB
5/10 blinds, live cash game
Me in BB $1,400 UTG $1000 UTG limps, 1 call, 1 raise to 30, folded to me. I raise 60 more to 90. UTG reraises to 210 (120 more). All fold to me. I've never played with this guy before and I usually play 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 blind games so it's somewhat new territory for me (The 5/10 blind game is the 2nd largest in my area and the largest [10/25] only spreads on Thrusday evenings). That said, he just joined the game about hour before and had been playing solid. I was pretty sure he had a big pocket pair. He did lay down QQ earlier when an A was on the board, but not before putting about $300 in the pot. I deliberated for a bit, trying to decide what to do. I was only considering two moves: 1) reraise $400 2) push What would you do and why? |

Re: AA in BB
shove with his stack; he obv loves his hand and u dont wunna risk a flop that could kill ur action (like if A flops and he has KK, or if he has AK and misses postflop, or if he has QQ and A OR K hits). He loves his hand and its live=SHOOOOVE preflop!

Re: AA in BB
Shove all in preflop, as stated above, your opponent likes his hand, and live players can't find the fold button when this is the situation. He isn't finding a fold ever with KK here and will call with QQ/AK 60-75% of the time. No need to get cute. You get called often enough to make this more profitable than potentially risking a flop that kills your action.
