HU Holdem rules question
I was wondering if there is a reason for the various rules changes that occur in holdem when the game becomes heads up with only two players left?
They switch who becomes the small and big blind and the the button acts first preflop but last after the flop. Is there anyone who knows the reason for these changes when HU? |

Re: HU Holdem rules question
The bottom line is the BB MUST act last preflop. Keep in mind that even in three handed the button acts first preflop and last post-flop

Re: HU Holdem rules question
i think its generally so that the SB has more incentive to enter the pot since he will have position post flop

Re: HU Holdem rules question
You can have the button be BB but that means he will have position for the entire hand.
Having the button be SB encourages more action. Think about it and you'll see why. |
