Re: NL50 two overcards and nuthflushdraw on flop
When he pushes the flop, there's $96.5 in the pot and it costs you another $46.75 to call. You're getting better than 2:1, and you're 2:1 to hit your flush alone, so a call is only -EV if you put him squarely on a set. If your ace is an out as well as the hearts, then this is a definite call. If both your overs are good, you're ahead on the flop. Given the read, I have to believe villain's range is much, MUCH wider than just a set, so it's a call.

Looks like a call to me too; the variance on this play is high but against a player who's LAG (which seems to summarize your read) you will win in the long term.

Re: NL50 two overcards and nuthflushdraw on flop
Villain's range is pretty wide here I think, given his tendencies preflop. A set, two pair, overpair, Ax for a pair, and a flush draw might all be in his range.
Pot odds are favorable but calling here is obviously a high variance play. I'm aggressive with my strong draws though, so I call here most of the time. |
