What games are bots unable to beat?
I have heard that no bot has been created to win against good players at SH no limit. Is it just limit where bots can win? And it is still only against weak players that bots have an edge? Anyone actually have a concrete idea about this because it sure seems like a lot of speculation and accusations and I still have the attitude that no bot is good at NL. Where do bots have proven success and failure? Is there proof for anything?

Re: What games are bots unable to beat?
IMHO:
From easiest to hardest to program for hold 'em: STTs MTTs Limit cash games No Limit cash games (excluding short stacking push-bots, which would be as easy as STTs) Also from easiest to hardest: Full-ring Heads-up Short-handed |

Re: What games are bots unable to beat?
people on this forum take for granted bots as an assumed great player out there..i have really only heard that bots can beat decent competition in limit. the only way a bot could win at NL is because at lower stakes the players are really bad, and in heads up NL, i have never heard of a bot ever even existing...

Re: What games are bots unable to beat?
IMO, a bot's edge would decrease as you add more players, in limit at least. Fewer players is more about game theory randomization , execution and tendency exploitation. As you add more players, the game becomes more about just making the best hand and ABC play - which a bot could do well, but no better than player who has read a book or two and understands hand value.
