Default Line check 1-2 nl standard or spew?

Hero (SB): $531.70
BB: $187.00
UTG: $316.60
BTN: $200.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 Players)
UTG folds, BTN raises to $8.00, Hero raises to $30.00,
button is 17/14 not out of line at all, but i want to win this hand, so i figure 3b pf is a good spot to start, and i expect him to fold often. BB calls $28.00 (19/6), BTN folds

Flop: ($68) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero (??????) bets $66.00,
I bet pot here, as i want to price myself into this hand, is this a mistake, whats a better thought process?
BB raises all-in to $157.00, Hero calls $91.00 [obvious call ya]

fine imo, make sure he's opening light when you make this kind of move pf, rest is standard.

Don't worry about pricing yourself in, once you bet you are calling. Just try to pick best size bet to fold 66-99.

if btn isn't out of line at all, why do you want to win this hand?

maybe i'm too str8 forward but this seems like minor spew w/ 9-12 outs... i mean if you have 12 outs it's not spew, but you won't always

I think that may be a mistake of mine, wanting to win every pot, but why not give yourself a shot, i certainly think I gave myself the oppertunities to win the pot... I am starting to belive that it is +EV but only slightly, and i may react in a very -ev way to the varience.

the problem is you are probably getting flat called a lot on this flop since he almost surely has a decent pair. Then what do you do? Push turn?

Good point, what do you think of a check raise AI on this flop, given his assumed range?
